Users can now set notification preferences to alert them to new Ulitmaker Cura beta and plugin releases. Notifications for beta and plug-in releases This feature is for Ultimaker S-line printers only and is especially useful for cloud-connected (or offline) printers. Users can now save all third-party material profiles to USB. And we have added a “Search” function to make finding files easier. Every user with a cloud-connected Ultimaker 3D printer can access stored projects. Also, when scaling the Ultimaker Cura window, the UI will adapt, resulting in less visual clutter.Ĭollaborative workflows using the Digital Library are now simpler. The new icons are designed for clarity – resulting in a simpler and more informative slicing experience. Look around and you will notice that we have refreshed over 100 icons throughout Ultimaker Cura. Or for parts that benefit from smooth surfaces, such as those that contact-sensitive components. This is especially useful for parts that need good aesthetics, such as visual prototypes. It will be live and you can ask any questions to our CTO, Miguel Calvo. The new Monotonic top/bottom order setting enables users to print parts with smoother top surfaces. We’re hosting a free tech demo on February 7. Reliable bed tilt compensation (no more thumbscrews) 2.4 and 5 GHz Wi-Fi A 1080p camera (mounted higher for a better view) Compatibility with 280+ Marketplace materials Compatibility with S5 project files (no reslicing needed) And a whole lot more The UltiMaker S7 also includes quality of life improvements: We also reversed the front fan direction (fewer plastic hairs, less maintenance), made the print core door magnets stronger, and add a sensor that helps avoid flooding. This effectively makes it much harder to not achieve a perfect first layer, improving overall print success. The re-engineered print head has an inductive sensor which reduces noise when probing the build plate. Along with that, 4 pins and 25 magnets make it easy to replace the flex plate perfectly – even with one hand. But we also don’t recommend using or adhesion structures for UltiMaker materials (except PC, ’s PC). Not only do you not need tools to pop a printed part off. A PEI-coated flexible steel build plate makes a big difference to productivity. The build stack has also been completely redesigned. To further enclose the build chamber the S7 only has one magnetically latched door. This filters the exhaust air of every print and also improves build temperature stability. It now includes an integrated Air Manager. The UltiMaker S7 is built on the success of the UltiMaker S5 and its design decisions were heavily based on feedback from customers. If anyone might know what's going on I'd love to have the update version as I do like the UI more. I then tried a custom chiron profile I had made but wasn't getting quite as good of results as from the cr10 profile and it worked with no issues but the print still wasn't as good as what I'd been getting with the cr10 profile so I ended up rolling back to 4.10. I had assumed this was a faulty file so I resliced, saved and tried again. Normally what happens is it wipes a small line then begins on the brim, what is happening is it will begin to pump filament through as fast as possible, travel on the Y axis, reach the travel limit, then begin travel on the X axis, hit the limit and I do mean HIT the limit and attempt to continue going all the while feeding filament through. When updating from 4.10 to 4.11 it kept all my settings for the profile and I sliced an object saved it to an SD card and put it to print. So, I use the cr-10 profile for my anycubic chiron as that is the way I've had the best prints, with a few small adjustments.
